Established on October 31st, 1951, the Friends of Armed Forces Association is a nationwide civil organization. Its mission is to encourage cooperation between the civilians and the army, improves benefits and morale of soldiers, promote public charities, and support a strong national defense. Through 68th years of improvement and transformation, our association has attained today’s scale and achievements.
Our future perspectives are:
1. Bring contributions to local government entities.
2. Help projects hosted by charitable organizations.
3. Improve the benefits to the soldiers and their families.


Laws and Regulations Governing Accommodation Reception at Taipei Hero House, Armed Forces Association
I. Business Units
1. The Armed Forces Association was founded on October 31st, 1951 and was issued with registration certificate Tai-Nei-She-Zi No. 591720 of non-profit seeking organization from the Ministry of Interior Affairs on June 1st, 1974. The industry competent authority is the Ministry of National Defense.
2. The hero houses in Taipei, Taichung, Kaohsiung, Hualian, Jiayi, Tainan, Taidong, Yilan, and Penghu and Kinmen ‘Guest House’ of the Armed Forces Association are defined as premises for entertaining special guests.
II. Laws and Regulations Governing Business Practice
1. Governed by “Non-Profit seeking premises for specific target of accommodation shall be governed by guidelines on the safety, management and matters by the respective industry competent authority” in Paragraph 3, Article 24 of Act for Development of Tourism.
2. It is stipulated in Article 6 of the ‘Guidelines Governing Military Service Business Units and National Hero House Management’ by the Ministry of National Defense, that ‘The purpose of accommodation premises of national service business units and national hero houses is non-profit based and provides accommodation and rest for current military officers, sergeants, soldiers, and national defense related personnel, with priority given to current military officers, sergeant and soldiers.
